Privacy policy

Last updated October 23, 2026

This policy covers "homeassist", a private tool Alan Shurafa built for himself. It connects his own Google accounts to software on his own computer. It is not offered to the public.

What it accesses

When Alan signs in, the tool can read and edit files in his Google Drive, Google Docs and Google Sheets, and it sees the email address and name on the account.

How the data is used

Only to carry out tasks Alan asks for on his own files, such as finding, reading or updating a document. Nothing is sold, shared with anyone else, or used for advertising.

Use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Where it is stored

The sign-in token is saved on Alan's own computer. File contents are read when a task needs them and are not copied to any other server by this tool.

Removing access

Access can be withdrawn at any time from Google Account permissions. Deleting the saved token on the computer removes the rest.
